Teaching staff invited to workshop on hardware support for project based learning

MATLAB

Teaching staff involved in developing and delivering courses and laboratories for undergraduate and postgraduate study are invited to a workshop on hardware support.

The session will take place on Wednesday 10 June 2015, Room 1061 Shackleton (Building 44).

The workshop will focus on the use of the software Matrix Laboratory, or MATLAB which is particularly useful for linear algebra but also a great tool for solving algebraic and differential equations and for numerical integration.

Simulink, an add-on product to MATLAB, provides an interactive, graphical environment for modeling, simulating, and analyzing of dynamic systems.

The software is used mainly by the Engineering field but also by Science and Maths disciplines.

Experienced MathWorks engineers lead this hands-on workshop following industrially proven methods of deploying Simulink models to hardware:

  •  Use MATLAB and Simulink to build a complete embedded system
  • Experiment with signal & image processing
  • Learn about Raspberry Pi and Arduino support
