With the start of summer holidays and as students move from their Southampton accommodations, the rubbish piles are sure to grow.
To divert this waste litter from the streets, SUSU Sustainability Zone is collaborating with community stakeholders to help clean up the city. The Shift Your Stuff project collects re-useable items such as clothes, textbooks and kitchenware from student homes, sorting and donating them to local charities.
Red plastic bags and flyers are available for pick-up from SUSU reception and should be placed outside for collection on Thursday 11 June or Tuesday 30 June. Drop-off locations are also set up at SUSU Reception, the Common Room at Erasmus Park and Common Room A in Mayflower Halls.
