This award recognises the following contributions from an individual:
- Measurable evidence of excellence, innovation, impact and integrity in fundraising
- Commitment to the profession through sharing good practice with peers, seeking volunteer opportunities in the profession
- Particular achievements in their career, and a track record of consistent performance
Describing why Robert had been selected, John Middleton, Executive Director, CASE Europe said:
Robert’s proven fundraising success, establishment of the UK’s first Special Gifts Network, and willingness to share his knowledge and support his colleagues and the wider sector, all contributed to his successful nomination.
This recognition of Robert and his achievements comes at a positive time for the University and our philanthropic and engagement activity.
This year sees the formal launch of the University’s £25m Campaign for the Centre for Cancer Immunology which has already resulted in six times the number of new donors to the University and a significant increase in income of £6m year-to-date, compared to £3.7m last year.
Robert will be presented with his award at the CASE Annual Conference later this summer.
