Could you be a school governor?

SGN Logo

University staff interested in applying to be a school governor are invited to attend a recruitment event held by SGOSS (the charity that recruits governors for schools throughout the country).

The event will take place on 23 June, 12:30 – 14:30 Room E1001, Building 67 (the Nightingale Building).

The University is supportive of its employees who take on voluntary community roles, such as school governorships.

These are immensely rewarding roles that make a positive difference to society.  School governors use their skills and experience to the benefit of the schools, and have ample opportunity to learn and develop new skills.

Speakers at the event will be Alex Neill – Pro Vice-Chancellor, Hannah Riley – SGOSS, and Lindsay Allen – University employee and School Governor.

The event is free, and refreshments will be provided.

Please register your interest at Eventbrite.
