Staff and students are invited to participate in an introductory training day which provides an overview of all aspects of systematic reviewing in health.
A systematic review is used when health professionals need to make a decision about whether to use a new healthcare treatment.
The course is offered by Southampton Health Technology Assessments Centre (SHTAC) at the University and is scheduled for 13 October 2015, 09:15 – 16:15, Chilworth Manor Hotel, Chilworth, Southampton, SO16 7PT
The day will cover the following:
- What is a systematic review?
- Scoping the research question
- Literature searching
- Inclusion/exclusion screening
- Data extraction & critical appraisal
- Data synthesis
The cost of the event is £180 (public/ academic sector), £310 (commercial sector).
The course includes all materials, lunch & refreshments.
