Researchers from all disciplines, from postgraduate to professional level, are invited to a talk on the future of the Worldwide Universities Network, to be presented by WUN General Manager, Mr Nicholas Haskins.
The event will be held on 30 June, Building 85 (Life Sciences), Room 2209 (Highfield) from 11:30 – 12:30.
The University was a founding member of the WUN in 2000. Fifteen years on, WUN has much to celebrate but, like its constituent members, needs to adapt to a changed and challenging global higher education context.
Mr Haskins will present the role of WUN in catalysing international research collaborations for the University, now and in the future. He will also assess where efforts and resources should be concentrated, what the barriers are to success and what opportunities are available.
The Network helps new research groups get established internationally by providing resources, contacts and advice. By helping to share talent across the different WUN members, the body is able to encourage new research growth that will help address the challenges of tomorrow
