As part of Microsoft’s ongoing service improvements, Microsoft Lync is going to become Skype For Business.
The change will allow staff to find contacts in the University easily and normal features will be carried over from Microsoft Lync, such as setting up conference rooms for an audio call for up to 25 people, or up to 10 people for a video call.
Staff will not have to act to initiate this change. When you next restart your University computer, you should see it load Skype For Business in place of Microsoft Lync.
