Claire Atkins, the Head of Faculty Operations for Health Sciences is to take up a 6-month secondment as Academic Registrar from 1 September 2015.
Claire joined the University in June 2003 and has held several key roles over the last twelve years, including Acting Registrar for New College, School Manager for Ocean and Earth Science and Director of School and Academic Services in Health Sciences where she is now Head of Faculty Operations.
Commenting on her secondment, Claire said:
“I am delighted to be taking on this role. I am very much looking forward to the challenges and opportunities it will present, and to working with the Student and Academic Administration team, our academic colleagues and fellow Professional Services in continuing to develop both the student and staff experience.”
Steve White, Chief Operating Officer, said:
“I am looking forward to working with Claire in her new role. The secondment is for an initial period of 6 months. This may be extended, but I wish to take time to decide on the precise shape for the position before starting the recruitment process.”
An interim Head of Faculty Operations will be appointed to cover Claire’s current role in Health Sciences.
