Business Model Review – update on progress

In June all staff were sent an email about the beginning of an important piece of work to review the University’s business model by Steve White, chair of the Review Steering Board.

With many challenges ahead in the higher education sector, this Review aims to answer four fundamental questions:

1)      How robust is the University’s strategy and can it be delivered?

2)      What new and diversified sources of income can help support the delivery of the strategy?

3)      How can we manage our costs so that we have sufficient funds to invest in the future?

4)      How could a different business model help us to deliver all of the above?

A team from PwC are on campus over the summer to support this work, which is expected to take 12-16 weeks. Staff can find out more on SharePoint, and there will be opportunities to share ideas and informed insights at different stages throughout the process.

Managers across the University are being sent a weekly summary, and a toolkit has been developed to help them communicate the activities to their teams.

If you have any questions, please talk to your line manager or email the Project Team, who will get back to you as quickly as possible.
