The University’s Post Room has become the third Post Room to achieve the Diamond Award for their operating systems and other industry specific criteria, assessed by Postal and Logistics Consulting Worldwide (PLCWW).
In May the Post Room underwent an audit and accreditation process after putting themselves forward for the award. The accreditation process was undertaken through bench marking certain common activities carried out within a Post Room environment, which were then scored.
This year, the Post Room gained the newly created and highest achievement possible, the Diamond award. The category involves tougher criteria and is designed to offer Post Rooms a further level of excellence to strive for. The Diamond award supersedes the Platinum award, which was achieved by our Post Room in 2014.
The University Post Room are only the third to receive the prestigious award, along with Admiral Insurance and the University of Plymouth.
The Post Room has now achieved the highest available award for six years in a row.
