University supports aspiring National Teaching Fellows

The Higher Education Academy (HEA) runs an annual National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS) to celebrate outstanding individual achievements in learning and teaching in UK higher education. This prestigious award is regarded as the highest level of professional recognition of excellence and innovation in all aspects of education. If you aspire to NTF status, the University is now pleased to be able to support you through the launch of the ILIaD National Teaching Fellow support programme. The aim of the programme is to identify and support colleagues in starting to plan for an application in future years, as well as supporting those who are making an application now.   

To hear more about the programme, and opportunities for support and mentoring, please come along to one of the following introductory sessions. The sessions will be led by Professor Simon Kemp, National Teaching Fellow (2010) and winner of the Times Higher Education Most Innovative Teacher of the Year (2013). The programme is also being supported by Professor Mike Wald, National Teaching Fellow (2010) and winner of the Times Higher Education Outstanding ICT Initiative of the Year (2013), Professor Carol Evans, National Teaching Fellow (2014), and Professor Faith Hill, National Teaching Fellow (2009).
