In line with the normal cycle, some of our key leadership roles in faculties have reached a point of renewal or re-appointment.
Deans of Faculty
The current terms for Deans of four faculties are coming to an end and the Senate has endorsed the reappointment of four senior academics. With effect from 1 August 2015 these will be:
- Professor Jessica Corner to be reappointed as Dean of Health Sciences until 1 January 2016;
- Professor Anne Curry to be reappointed as Dean of Humanities for a further year until 31 July 2016;
- Professor Iain Cameron to be reappointed as Dean of Medicine for a further three years to 31 July 2018;
- Professor William Powrie to be reappointed as Dean of Engineering and the Environment for a further three years to 31 July 2018.
Heads of Academic Unit
The current terms for three Heads of Academic Unit are coming to an end and the Council has approved the following recommendations for new appointments.
- Professor Michael Moore as Head of Primary Care and Population Sciences in the Faculty of Medicine for three years from 1 August 2015.
- Professor Erik Reichle as Head of Psychology in the Faculty of Social, Human and Mathematical Sciences for three years from 1 August 2015.
- Professor Philippa Reed as Head of Engineering Sciences in the Faculty of Engineering and the Environment for three years from 1 October 2015.
