The Post Room would like to clarify how and when staff are able to use their service for private postings.
The Post Room mail system is set up primarily for business mail being sent out by departments.
Anything that is personal but has already been stamped and paid for is accepted, however we cannot accept anything that arrives in the Post Room to be carried by Royal Mail or other couriers that has not already been paid to be posted.
All the mail that is sent to the Post Room which needs to be paid for must be in the yellow or blue post bags to confirm that it has been authorised by the department that is being charged.
