Recruiting Student Ambassadors for University Open Days

New roles for Open Days Student Ambassadors are now available.

welcome assistants

Ambassadors play an important part in presenting the University to potential students and their families. Over 10,000 visitors attend each Open Day, looking to learn about the University, find out what it offers and have their questions answered.

We are looking to recruit Student Ambassadors to work in our last summer Open Day taking place – Saturday 5 September/Sunday 6 September.

Students can choose to participate in one or both of the days and depending on the task will be working varying hours between 07:30-17:00.

Tasks are varied and include:

  • Setting up stands and resources
  • Providing directions and information at any of the campuses
  • Giving tours
  • Staffing Information Points
  • Assisting at talks and presentations

Students who are enthusiastic and friendly with good communication skills are encouraged to apply by filling out an application. Places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

Rate of pay is £7.48/hour (including holiday pay) and it is possible to have travel expenses covered up to £50.

Training is paid for providing you attend the day you sign up for. You must be available to attend one of the two training dates Monday 1 September 12:00-14:00

Please contact Sarah Ford-Evans with any further questions.
