Staff who work on University webpages are invited to an open session to help them prepare their sites for the redesign which will be completed by the end of October 2015.
Although the new design will be applied over the top of existing content, there are some instances where the page presentation will need some adjustment.
All webpages within SitePublisher (the system used to manage the majority of the University’s websites), along with all SitePublisher users, will be affected.
There’ll be a number of open sessions, run by Communications and Marketing, together with IT Training and Development, in September and October. The training applies both to staff who edit webpages within SitePublisher, and to stakeholders for content held on the website. The sessions will cover the following:
- Overview of the redesign project
- A look at the new design
- Details of the support guide and how to use it
- Training on key changes including: navigation and colours, homepages, section homepages, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, staff profile, page content
- Question and answers
The sessions will run for an hour, with an additional 30 minute question and answer section. You can book online now.
