Professor Bess Ward who is visiting Southampton from Princeton University is to give the 20th annual Charnock Lecture, which also marks the 20th anniversary of the Waterfront Campus that is home to National Oceanography Centre Southampton (NOCS).
The title of Professor Ward’s lecture is ‘Nitrogen cycling in the oxygen minimum zone’.
The lecture will be held on Friday, 9 October 16:00 to 17:00 in the Charnock Lecture Theatre at NOCS. Refreshments will be served before and a reception is planned for after the lecture.
The distinguished lecture series commemorates Prof Henry Charnock CBE FRS, the former Director of the National Institute of Oceanography and Head of the former Institute of Oceanography at the University of Southampton.
