This September the Faculty of Humanities are very pleased to welcome the first 12 students on to our International Foundation Year in partnership with Xiamen University’s International College.
The Foundation Year has been run successfully in Humanities for over a decade, but this is the first time it has been delivered away from Southampton, and the first time in a partnership which sees the programme taught by both Southampton and Xiamen staff.
We hope that this launch will mark the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship which will allow students from around the globe to engage with our world-class teaching closer to home before they travel to Southampton to complete a UK degree.
Xiamen is a highly-ranked Chinese University recognised for both its teaching and research, and the partner university for our Confucius Institute.
In the coming months discussions will be taking place on what other programmes could be delivered at Xiamen’s Xiang’an Campus in future.
