Enactus Southampton qualified for the World Cup after becoming national champions earlier this year. Since then they have competed against 35 other countries and over 1700 student-led programmes to become world champions.

Whilst Southampton have represented the UK at the international stage of the competition before, this was their most successful year to date.

Enactus Southampton’s presentation at the World Cup focused on two of their international projects: SanEco and Right Light.

Team Leader and previous Enactus Southampton President, Josh Hasdell, said,

“The team and I came to the World Cup with the intention to show the world what our team has done. Never did we think we could come away with 4000 new friends and be crowned the World Cup Champions! I am very humbled and proud to have been able to lead the team through this unique experience.”
