Students are invited to attend the University’s first Opportunities Fair from 11:00 – 15:00 on Tuesday 3 November 2015 in Garden Court, Building 40, Highfield Campus.
The Opportunities Fair is a new initiative led by the University to highlight ways in which you can engage in activities that will support both your personal and professional development.
The event showcases a variety of internal opportunities encompassing work experience; skills development; volunteering and partnerships, all intended to enrich student experience and equip you for the future. Opportunities are available both at home and overseas.
There will also be a number of interactive ways for students to engage with exhibitors at the Fair:
CV Clinic
You can receive expert CV advice provided by Specialist Career Practitioners at the Opportunities Fair 2015.
LinkedIn Lab
For many, LinkedIn has become an integral part of the job search. This Lab will give you the chance to receive feedback on what you need to do to optimise your profile and best leverage your skills and endorsement section. If you do not already have a LinkedIn account, you will learn how to create one.

Prize Draw
To celebrate the launch of this new Fair, we are giving every student the chance to enter a free prize draw, by scanning your ID card on arrival. The prize draw will include:
- iPad (Donated by Southampton Opportunity Project)
- 4x Natwest T20 Blast match at the Ageas Bowl next summer (Donated by Ageas Bowl)
- 2x £50 STA Travel vouchers (Donated by STA Travel)
