We have compiled a list of resources to help you find the perfect job to complement your studies. Most of these were also introduced in the previous edition of our newsletter, but they remain a great way to find work.

SURecruit – This service is brought by your Students’ Union to help you find paid casual work. Working in partnership with the Careers and Employability Service at the University, SURecuit aims to support you to achieve economic independence whilst gaining valuable work experience. They work strategically to identify external employers that will enhance your career prospects. SURecruit is a free recruitment service, which has been developed exclusively for you. Vacancies advertised:

  • Paid part-time, seasonal, temporary and term-time work
  • Paid summer and vacation work
  • Paid permanent part time positions

Temp Bank – This on campus service provides a number of part-time jobs throughout the year and can offer students and graduates the perfect job role to fit alongside your studies.

Jobs Board – The Jobs Board on MyCareer is updated daily and features hundreds of vacancies for part-time work.

Student Consultancy – Develop your business skills by delivering solutions to local organisations. Work in a team of student consultants on an 8 week project during term-time. Training is provided with £250 payment for completed projects. They have started accepting applications for the next semester.

Alternatively, you can join our Jobs and Internships Facebook group. Furthermore, there are many external websites that could be useful when searching for part-time positions. Daily Echo, Indeed.co.uk & Reed.co.uk are good places to start.
