From Southampton to South Africa: hear Enactus Southampton’s story

Last week, a group of Enactus students visited South Africa for the Enactus World Cup, where they were crowned world champions. Staff and students are invited to hear the team’s story at 18:00 on Thursday 29 October Building 46/2003, Highfield Campus.

Enactus winDr Brian Hracs, Lecturer in Human Geography, has also kindly offered to say some words about the relationship between Enactus and its wider employability advantages at the event.

Enactus is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to inspiring students to improve the world through entrepreneurial action. With over 200 members, Enactus Southampton is the largest Enactus team in the UK.

Enactus Southampton currently runs 12 projects both locally and internationally working to empower people through improved sanitation conditions in Kenya to helping people transition into later life in Southampton.

Members of the Enactus team worked tirelessly over the Summer holiday to raise funding to take 20 of their members to the World Cup in Johannesburg. This has all been done while simultaneously running the society and sending members out to Kenya to work with their international projects.

You can find more details about the event on this attached poster.
