The Hartley Library will begin operating 24 hours a day from Monday 2 November and will continue this across the academic year.
This is the third year that the Hartley Library has piloted 24 hour opening hours, following a campaign by the Students’ Union in 2013.
The planned weeks of overnight opening this year will start in semester 1 from Monday 2 November until the Christmas break and then resume from Saturday 2 January to Friday 3 June 2016 with a break for Easter.
We are also pleased to report that additional funding has been used to extend opening between Christmas and New Year as we will be opening the Hartley Library from Tuesday 29 – Thursday 31 December 2015.

The Students’ Union are currently conducting a consultation with students about the 24 hour opening to help inform whether extended library opening hours should continue in future years. We encourage students to take part in this consultation and will work with representatives from the Students’ Union to review the results.
