Careers has re-opened after a three-month refurbishment to create a brighter, more flexible space, which can be used to host employer events as well as workshops to increase employability skills and awareness.

They are also introducing some new features to Careers for this academic year. These are outlined below:

MyCareer A new online platform, which can be personalised to reflect your interests to ensure you don’t miss any opportunities on our jobs board or events calendar. Log in for full access to Excel Southampton Internships, Work Experience and Volunteering roles. Here you will also find events discussing job interviews, assessment centres, and other important services in relation to job applications.

Recruiter in Residence – This is an excellent opportunity to meet graduate recruiters to find out about available opportunities, have your CV critiqued or receive tips for interviews. The following employers are scheduled  in the coming weeks:

  • Deloitte –  3 November 2015
  • USA Summer Camp – 10 November 2015
  • Accenture –  2 February 2016

Drop-In service – Extended to run 4 hours per day, the drop-in service provides an opportunity to speak to an adviser to assess how we can best support you including providing feedback on CVs, applications and personal statements.

Careers can be contacted via phone: 023 8059 3501, email: [email protected], or face to face in Building 37. Their opening times are 09:00-17:00 Monday-Friday.

To help ensure you’re supported at University, we will be featuring a different support service each month in upcoming newsletters.
