This year’s ESRC (Economic and Social Research Council) Festival of Social Sciences takes place across the country from Saturday 7 – Saturday 14 November and will feature more than 200 different events including public debates, conferences, workshops, interactive seminars, film screenings and virtual exhibitions.
It provides an opportunity to meet with some of the country’s leading social scientists and discover, discuss and debate the role that research plays in everyday life.
From 15:00 – 16:30 on Tuesday 10 November you can learn about prison life by attending ‘Behind the walls of your local nick’, hosted in the Annex, next to the Nuffield. For more information and registering your attendance, visit the University website.
From 14:00 – 16:00 on Thursday 12 November you can see the impact Southampton is having digitally with the ‘Observing Southampton through the web’ event.
