What do our students go on to do once they graduate?

Each year, Universities around the country collect information from their graduates about what they’re doing; whether that is employment, further study, travel or job seeking.

Graduation

The Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) is sent out to graduates six months after the completion of their course and the results are made publicly available as a measure of employability, affecting our league table performance. The information we gain from the survey also informs our careers support that we offer to students and graduates.

We encourage students to learn more about DLHE and ensure that your contact details up to date, to enable the Careers and Employability Service to reach you during the survey period. Furthermore, we ask staff to raise awareness about DHLE with students whilst they are still studying here.

The survey runs annually from today, 10 November, to March for the July graduating class and from April to June for the December graduating class.

DLHE survey results are available for all staff to access annually in July via Qlikview, the specialised interactive software package which can be accessed through the Services tab of SUSSED. Survey results are broken down both as an institution and by programme of study.  The Careers and Employability Service will also be developing Faculty Specific Employability reports that will be available for review at the end of the academic year.

For further information and support with promoting DLHE locally and using Qlikview, please contact the Careers and Employability Service at [email protected].
