Help ensure that no child is without a present at Christmas

This year a group of staff are working to support the Christmas Complete 2015 project run by Southampton City and Region Action to Combat Hardship (SCRATCH.) by making it accessible and convenient for staff and students to drop off their donations here at the University.

Christmas gifts post

The Christmas Complete project operates each year and is a way of ensuring that local children and young people can all enjoy Christmas. This project could not help all the families that are referred to them without very generous donations from individuals and local schools, churches and businesses. This year, we invite staff and students at the University to help too.

Donations of toys and gifts suitable for babies, children and young people up to the age of 17 years are needed by Friday 11 December.

The sorts of things the project needs are:

  • Games and puzzles
  • Books
  • Age related toys (please no guns or war related items)
  • Art and craft items (including colouring books, pencils and felt tip pens)
  • Sweets
  • Toiletries and other items suitable for teenagers (there is always a shortage of items for teenagers)

Please do not wrap the gifts as this will be done later.

Items can be dropped off at any of the following locations:

  • Building 37- Human Resources room 4069 – please ask for Geraldine Witt or call 02380 594054
  • Building 37- International Office room 3107 – please ask for Marika Stone or call 02380 598034
