Get involved in creating our framework for leadership and management

To develop a strong sustainable community, our people need to be able to develop and grow. We also need to embed leadership and management capability across the University to enable everyone to perform at their best.

To this end, the University has initiated a project to design, build and roll out a leadership and management framework for the organisation. It will cover all staff with leadership and management responsibilities across all the career pathways. Professor Sir Christopher Snowden, Vice-Chancellor, will be the Executive Sponsor of the project.

Sarah Marshall, Head of Talent and Development in Human Resources, comments:

“We want to work with staff across the University to develop the framework so that colleagues feel that it has been made for them and by them. We are looking for staff of any grade, who have a consultative and collaborative style. You do not need to be a current line manager.”

Interested colleagues will need to be able to participate in a couple of meetings/workshops each month and give some additional time outside this to progress the outputs from these meetings.

Updated: the opportunity to express an interest in joining one of the working groups has now passed. For general enquiries about the project, please email Sarah Marshall
