The Centre for Population Change (part of the Faculty of Social, Human and Mathematical Sciences) is hosting a seminar given by Dr Hanlin Shang, from Australian National University on age-specific mortality rates.
The event will take place on 10 December at 15:00 in Building 58, Room 1003.
Forecasting age-specific mortality rates plays an important role in making societal policies associated with national and sub-national levels.
The lecture considers how to improve the accuracy of forecasts of mortality rates which would be beneficial for government policy decision regarding the allocation of current and future resources
Staff and students are welcome to attend this event and registration is not necessary.
