Help the campaign for the Centre for Cancer Immunology on #GivingTuesday

Today is #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that focuses on the different ways in which people can choose to give back in support of charities all over the world.

After the sales of Black Friday and the online shopping boom on Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday was created to provide an opportunity for people to come together to show the world why it’s good to give.

WPGUK branded #GT heartSince its launch in June, the campaign for the Centre for Cancer Immunology has received an overwhelmingly positive response from our staff and students.

Today provides another opportunity for you to choose to give back to the campaign by participating in the #GivingTuesday activities happening on social media and on the Highfield Campus.

By donating £1 you can choose to dedicate a snowflake in honour of a loved one affected by cancer or a message of support in aid of the new Centre.

The snowflakes will be available in the Students’ Union Concourse (building 42) between 11:00 – 14:00 today. RAG will also be selling raffle tickets to benefit the campaign where you will have a chance to win signed merchandise from West End shows like The Full Monty, The Railway Children and The Heights.

You can, of course, choose to donate to a charity of your choice directly from your pay, and from now until Friday 4 December any donations made will have £10 extra added on top.

If you’d like to get involved or for more information on different charities, please visit the website.
