Free to attend and no need to register, although people can join the Facebook event. Mettricks is a well-loved cafe selling tasty food and drinks (including alcohol).

This event has a special theme: the Climate Change Conference currently taking place in Paris. Dr Craig Hutton will discuss global carbon footprints and the difficulty in assigning ownership and responsibility of public common goods like our environment, and Mike Allwright will discuss fossil fuel divestment and why it matters. Others will provide timely updates, including Jenny Barnes who organised the Southampton Climate Demo that took place at the weekend.

The Researchers’ Café gives staff, students and members of the public the opportunity to hear about topical research issues and discuss them in an informal space.
