Thank you to everyone who has taken part in our seventh day of the Christmas Advent Calendar. The correct answer was: Pacific – with the Mariana Trench at 10,994m compared to Atlantic’s Puerto Rico Trench at 8,648m.
Today’s calendar has now closed and our winners are: Julia Furniss (£30 meal voucher at Chalk Valley), Katie Plant (hoodie), Tom Crouch-Baker (chocolate Santa). We will email all the winners separately and let them know where to pick up their prizes – Congratulations.
There are just four more days to win yourself a prize in our Christmas Advent Calendar. Good luck for tomorrow.

We are now into our second week of the University’s Christmas Advent Calendar, offering staff and students a chance to win prizes on each weekday until the end of term this Friday.
All you have to do is comment on each individual SUSSED post with your name, email address and answer to our quiz question. Your email address will be kept private and will only be used to send you details if you win a prize.
Monday 7 December
Q: Which is deeper; the Pacific or Atlantic Ocean?
Comment below with your answer and you could win today’s prize of a £30 meal voucher for two at Chalk Valley – the Bedford Place artisan steak and burger bar has kindly donated today’s prize. Each day, we will also pick a first runner-up who will win a University hoodie and a second runner-up who will win a chocolate Santa.
Any staff or student who comments with the correct answer will have their name put into a hat. Winners will be drawn at 16:00 today.
