Having reviewed the first month’s passenger data, the Faculty of Business, Law and Art are pleased to report that the pilot minibus service that it is funding to transport its students and staff between Winchester School of Art (WSA) and Highfield Campus has been an overwhelming success – so much so that it is sometimes unable to cope with the high demand for the service.
The Faculty would remind WSA students, therefore, that the pilot shuttlebus is for ad-hoc journeys, as an addition to the existing range of subsidised bus and train services that are already available.
Full details of which can be found on the WSA transport website.
The Faculty has, however, agreed that priority will now be given to student passengers, and staff are reminded that the free service should not be used for commuting to work purposes.
The Faculty will continue to monitor passenger usage on this service with a view to improving the service for its WSA students.
