As part of the very successful Southampton Feedback Champions project, an Excel Placement student, James Tepper, developed an interactive tool to inform students about feedback.
The tool is based on the project research and was made by students for students using Articulate Storyline, a powerful software to create e-learning content. It includes:
- Why students should care about feedback
- The different ways in which feedback is delivered and how to recognise it
- How to deal with difficult feedback
- How to make the most of feedback to get better marks
- How to give feedback to peers
- A quick overview of academic appeals
The tool is available online here.
Many other resources around feedback are available on the Feedback Champions website.
Staff across disciplines are encouraged to circulate the tool to their students and to as many colleagues as possible at a time when assessment and feedback are both very much present in students’ mind.
