As the majority of the University prepares to switch-off for the Christmas break, we’ve looked back and compiled the top 10 news stories that you clicked on in 2015. So far this year, we’ve published a total of 1030 posts, which have been viewed 865,157 times (a 62 per cent increase compared to last year).

7. iSolutions move to their new offices
The department made the move earlier this year, as part of the University’s strategy for growth, to make more space available on Highfield campus for academic activities.
6. Staff recognised in Queen’s New Year Honours List
Posted in the last few days of 2014, Cyrus Cooper (Professor of Rheumatology) and Colin Myles (Former Facilities Manager in Physics and Astronomy, retired in April), were recognised in the Queen’s New Year Honours List.
5. The first day of the University’s Christmas Advent Calendar
To bring a bit of extra festive spirit to the University, the Christmas Advent Calendar offered staff and students a chance to win prizes on each weekday until the end of term.
4. The announcement of the University’s new Vice-Chancellor
In March, we announced that Professor Sir Christopher Snowden would be joining the University as our new Vice-Chancellor.
3. Sport and Wellbeing membership expands to facilities across Southampton
