The Students’ Union’s Housing Week starts today and will run through the rest of this week. This has been organised to encourage students not to rush into finding housing, while offering you the chance to meet accredited landlords so you can make an informed choice when you are ready.
The schedule for the week is as follows:
Free housing advice – Monday 1, 10:00 – 16:00, Students’ Union redbrick and concourse.
An opportunity to meet approved landlords, agents and private hall managers, and search for private accommodation available.
Flat-mating event – Tuesday 2, 14:00, Bar 2
Find people to live with and get to know your potential housemates better.
Police day – Wednesday 3, 10:00-16:00, Red Brick Area and the Concourse
Help and support from police for safety and crime prevention in housing and pick up your copy of the Community Guide.
Activities at WSA – Thursday 4, 10:00-16:00, WSA Café
Take part in the interactive housing survey, join in a Guess the Pest game and pick up your copy of the Community Guide.
Read the small print day – Friday 5, 10:00-16:00
Help and support about housing laws and policies from Endsleigh Insurance, the Students’ Union, including a kitchen fire demonstration from Fire and Rescue.
