Pedro Silva, President of the International Statistical Institute (ISI) and University alumnus, is visiting Southampton this week and has been teaching a module on the MSc in Official Statistics programme.
Pedro did his PhD in Social Statistics at Southampton and currently works at the ENCE (Escola Nacional de Ciências Estatísticas) in Brazil, working closely with official statisticians in the Brazilian National Statistical Institute. He is currently in the first part of his two year term as ISI President.

“We are delighted to welcome Professor Pedro Silva back to Southampton. He brings a wealth of international official statistics expertise which will be a significant contribution to our MSc in Official Statistics programme.”
