Nominations are now open for our third annual Sustainability Action Awards.
The Sustainability Action Awards celebrate students and staff who are changing the world for the better and demonstrating a commitment to sustainability – both inside and outside the University.
Past winners have undertaken research into solutions to global challenges, delivered innovative teaching of sustainability issues, and made a positive difference through volunteering in their local community.
You can enter yourself, or nominate someone else, in the following categories:
- Outstanding individual student contribution
- Outstanding individual staff contribution
- Outstanding contribution by a group of students
- Outstanding contribution by a group of staff
- Outstanding contribution by a student-staff partnership
Full details and application forms can be found on the Sustainability webpages.
This year, we are also launching our Sustainability Action Photographer of the Year competition, open to all students and staff. The theme is My Global Goals, based on 17 international goals for sustainability, and we are looking for photographs that articulate what these goals mean to you. You can find full details and instructions for applying on the Sustainability webpages.
The deadline for applications and nominations is 12:00 on Monday 29 February. All applicants will be invited to attend an award ceremony on Thursday 10 March.
The Sustainability Action Awards are supported by the University’s Carbon Management Fund, investing in ideas that will reduce the institution’s carbon emissions and improve the sustainability of our campuses.
