More places for students to share research at international symposium

The Sustainability Action team have released more places for students to share their research topic at ‘Educating Global Citizens’, the UK’s first international student sustainability research symposium, being held at the University of Southampton on Friday 15 April.

Presentations to the symposium can include environment, presentations can cover social, cultural, economic as well as environmental issues

It takes just 10 minutes to apply and the deadline is 12 noon on Friday 18 March.  Students can apply to present their individual research topic or as a group sharing joint research. The research doesn’t need to be finished; presentations and posters can show the research topic and planned method.

The symposium defines a ‘global citizen’ as someone seeking to make a positive impact on the world. Sustainability is about much more than the environment; presentations can look at the economy, society, business, the arts, technology, politics and much more. The symposium will celebrate the breadth of student research taking place across these disciplines.

More details about this opportunity, including guidance on how to apply, can be found on the University website.

We would also ask academic staff to let your students know about this excellent opportunity.
