Professor Anne Curry has been reappointed as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities for a 2-year period with effect from 1 August 2016.
Anne, who has been Dean of Humanities since 2010, is Professor of Medieval History. She is a Trustee of the Royal Armouries as well as chair of the Agincourt 600 charity and played a major role in last year’s commemoration of the battle in France and England.
Anne said of her reappointment:
“It is a privilege to continue working with such talented colleagues in Humanities, who are equally committed to research excellence and to the student experience. Exciting days lie ahead for us with new programmes and initiatives at home and abroad, and with a refurbishment of the Avenue campus over the summer.”
Commenting on Professor Curry’s reappointment, Professor Sir Christopher Snowden said:
“I am delighted that Anne has been re-appointed to serve as Dean for a further two years. Her extensive experience as a Dean provides both the Faculty and University Executive with leadership and a very valuable perspective.”
