Past winners have been volunteering with local scout groups, delivering innovative teaching and conducting research into solutions to global challenges. You can enter yourself, or nominate someone else, in the following categories:

  • Outstanding individual student contribution
  • Outstanding individual staff contribution
  • Outstanding contribution by a group of students
  • Outstanding contribution by a group of staff
  • Outstanding contribution by a student-staff partnership

This year, we are also launching our Sustainability Action Photographer of the Year competition, open to all students and staff. The theme is My Global Goals, based on 17 international sustainable development goals tackling poverty, climate change and social justice. We are looking for photographs that articulate what these goals mean to you. You can find full details and instructions for applying on the Sustainability webpages.

The Sustainability Action Awards are supported by the University’s Carbon Management Fund, investing in ideas that will reduce the institution’s carbon emissions and improve the sustainability of our campuses.

  • The deadline for applications and nominations is 12:00 on Monday 29 February. All applicants will be invited to attend an award ceremony on Thursday 10 March.
  • Full details and application forms can be found on the Sustainability Action webpages.
