As part of the University’s LGBT History Month series, students and staff are invited to attend a private screening of the crowdfunded film Credence presented by the director Mike Buonaiuto.
The screening will take place on Friday 26 February from 17:00 – 18:00, in the Nuffield Theatre (L/T A).
Redefining the way LGBT people are shown on screen, Credence tells the story of a family torn apart during the last evacuation on earth after violent storms have made survival impossible. The story follows two fathers’ decision to make the ultimate sacrifice to give up all their possessions to ensure the survival of their daughter, and the entire human race.
With over 100,000 views and 600+ contributions, Credence’s crowdfunding campaign raised over £22,000 using Indiegogo to bring this story to the big screen at London’s Leicester Square in partnership with Wired Magazine.
The screening has been kindly arranged by Andy Cast (LGBT+ Network Chair, Head of HR Business Partnering and Campaign Director for HH4E).
A drinks reception will be held after the event.
