Staff and students are invited to attend a seminar hosted by the Complex Healthcare Processes Research Group in the Health Sciences Faculty on Tuesday 1 March from 15:00-17:00 in Room 0045, Building 45.
This seminar will bring together speakers with experience of three distinct approaches to the analysis of large amounts of narrative text for healthcare service improvement.
Richard Wagland and Carol Rivas will explore the ways thematic analysis fits into the world of Big Data, using examples from their own research on the freetext comment boxes in cancer patient-reported experience surveys. Don Cruickshank will talk about the importance of presenting such analyses in a format useful for healthcare improvement.
