Postgraduate researchers invited to fill in survey about PGR wellbeing

The Doctoral College invites postgraduate researchers (PGRs) to take part in an online survey aiming to identify factors that influence personal wellbeing and mental health, as well as the support currently accessed by PGRs, here at the University.

PGR survey 14th march

The survey will take 10 to 15 minutes to complete and can be accessed online.

The survey follows on from the valuable and insightful information gained from the series of focus groups with PGRs carried out last month.

It’s the last step in the project led by the Doctoral College, in partnership with Enabling Services and supported by SUSU, which seeks to research the relationship between PGR wellbeing and non-academic support services.

Results of the survey will have a direct impact on the project team’s recommendations for future support services available to PGRs, and ways the University can enhance pastoral care.

The research findings will also guide the Doctoral College in developing a permanent electronic resource for current and future doctoral researchers.

For each survey that is completed, the Doctoral College will donate 10p to MIND, the UK charity for better mental health.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact Dr Emma Waight, Research Project Officer.

More information about the PGR wellbeing/mental health project can be found on the Doctoral College website.
