Current students are invited to share their unique perspectives of the University and the city on Instagram.
The winner will be awarded a pair of tickets for this year’s Common People festival and three runners up will each receive a meal for two voucher at one of Southampton’s finest local restaurants.
Any student can enter the competition:
- upload a photo to Instagram of a place on your campus or spot in the city
- tag it #SouthamptonBecause and add a brief caption telling us why that place means something to you
For example: “#SouthamptonBecause the ducks at Highfield Campus have ducklings every year. I love to sit and watch them with a coffee when I have an hour between lectures.”
All entries will be considered and winners chosen by an impartial panel of judges. Be aware that we will only be able to consider entries from public profiles.
You have until 17:00 on Friday 15 April and winners will be announced in the summer term. Full terms and conditions can be viewed on the University website.
