Claire Atkins has been appointed as the University’s new Academic Register. The position is permanent and took effect from 1 April 2016.
Claire has been the interim Academic Registrar since September 2015.
Reacting to her new appointment, Claire said:
“I am proud to be appointed to the role of Academic Registrar. I want to thank the many colleagues who have supported me in my interim role, and I am very much looking forward to working with the Student and Academic Administration Team, Faculty staff and other Professional Service colleagues in achieving the University’s strategy.”
Vice-Chancellor Professor Sir Christopher Snowden said:
“Claire’s extensive experience in university administration, extending from her earlier experience as School Manager, Faculty Operating Officer and Head of Faculty Operations, through to her time as Interim Academic Registrar places her in an ideal position to perform the role of Academic Registrar.
“Claire’s appreciation of the wider administration and student-facing activities will, I am confident, allow her to continue to lead and develop this key aspect of the University.”
