Visitors to the University can now access free Wi-Fi using our new Cloud Service.
Prospective students and their parents will also be able to access free Wi-Fi during University Open Days.
Connecting to the service is simple:
- Ensure that your Wi-Fi is on
- Select The Cloud from the available network list
- Open browser, press refresh and follow the on-screen instructions to register or log on
- For auto connection next time, download the FastConnect app for iOS and Android
University staff and students should still use the Eduroam service as it has greater capacity and enables access to all University networked services.
If you find that your device persistently connects to the cloud instead of Eduroam, you can ‘forget’ the cloud network. Further details can be found here.
The Cloud only enables internet access for guests using our existing wireless infrastructure and its bandwidth is limited.
