Success for University’s staff and alumni amateur drama club

Following success in local rounds, this weekend Southampton University Players (SUP) will be heading off to Wiltshire to take part in the Quarter Finals of the All England Theatre Festival.

Presenting a production of Noel Coward’s Fumed Oak, from the Tonight at 8.30pm series, the cast and crew, led by director Bridget Wilkinson (ILIaD and Maths alumna), include Allegra Carlton (Music and German alumna); Gina Hodsman (Civil Engineering alumna); Clayton Peters (iSolutions and Computer Science alumnus), Adam Taussik (Enabling Services) and Ollie Trojak (PGR – Physics and Astronomy).

About us

Working in partnership with the student backstage society, Stagesoc, SUP put on two major Nuffield productions a year, evenings of one act plays; children’s outdoor theatre and murder mysteries. As well as our theatrical productions SUP organises a range of social events including theatre trips, play readings, quiz nights and workshops.

Interested in joining us?

We are a small and very friendly society, open to staff, alumni, students and members of the local community. We have a real team spirit and are always looking to welcome new members. Whether you would like to act, direct, stage manage, make costumes, find props, help front of house or simply join us for play readings, we would love to hear from you. We welcome the experienced and also those with no or limited experience but are keen to learn. You will receive all the support and encouragement you need.
