Public Policy@Southampton are hosting a public debate ‘Views on Europe’, offering staff and students of the University and local communities an opportunity to discuss views both for and against the UK remaining in the EU, ahead of the referendum on 23 June, 2016.
The event will take place on Friday 13 May 2016, from 17.15 to 18.15 in the University of Southampton Students’ Union – The Cube, Building 42, Highfield Campus and you can register for tickets here.

To represent the “Leave” campaign will be the Rt. Hon. Desmond Swayne, MP for New Forest West and from a “Stay” position will be Dr Alan Whitehead, MP and Southampton Alumnus.
This lively ‘Question Time’ style event will also feature student leaders James Edwards of Students for Europe and Matthew Cowley of Students for Britain.
This event coincides with the publication of the latest edition of the Public Policy@Southampton blog ‘Views on Europe’ which presents a range of opinions on the European debate, including contributions from Southampton academics, students, politicians and others, both from inside the UK and from outside looking in.
