The University is looking for 12 staff volunteers to work alongside Student Ambassadors during the July Open Days, in order to assist with the smooth running of Check-in. This is a customer facing role and will allow you to engage with prospective students and their friends/families.
The Open Days will run on Saturday 9 July and Sunday 10 July 2016, from 09:00 – 16:30 and the role will require you to work from 08:30 to 14.30.
A new addition to the Open Day operations will be central check-in points on Highfield Campus, Boldrewood Campus, Avenue Campus and NOCs. There will be one main check-in point on Highfield Campus, situated outside Garden Court.
The role of Check-in Assistant is a forward facing role that involves interaction with prospective students and their families. You would be required to do the following:
- attend a pre event training session that would last no longer than an hour
- have a positive disposition
- have good customer service skills
- Be happy to be on your feet for a long period of time
Attendance to Open Day briefing will be required where we will provide training on the following things:
- manual Handling training
- risk assessments to read and understand
- general health and safety training
Full training will be provided before each shift to ensure staff are happy and confident to fulfil the role.
