On 23 June 2016 we are all being asked to make a once in a generation decision on the UK’s membership of the European Union (EU). Whether you believe we should ‘Remain’ or ‘Leave’, the first step towards taking part is ensuring you are registered to vote. You must register by 7 June if you want to have your say.
Our students will be amongst the youngest voters in the country and few people taking part in this referendum will have to live longer with the outcome of the vote.
It takes just a couple of minutes to register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
- You will need to have your National Insurance number handy, in order to complete the application
- You should register at the address you will be residing on 23 June (most likely your home or permanent address) students can register at both addresses.
- Not sure if you are registered? (Re-) register now at the address you’ll be at on 23 June
- There are quite a few music festivals and sporting events around at the time of the EU referendum. If you are certain you’re already registered, why not have the flexibility of voting by post. Find out more at www.aboutmyvote.co.uk

Make sure you are registered if you wish to have your say in the referendum. You have only two weeks to go until the 7 June voter registration deadline.
